This session will be at 0730 CDT on September 15. I will be interviewing Sean Clingan and Matthew Schuldes. These are two perfusionists who have published on the use of hypobaric oxygenation to remove gaseous microemboli in CPB and ECMO circuits.
This session is at 1830 CDT on September 14 and is entitled “Bubbles”. “Bubbles” will discuss the physics and physiology of gaseous microemboli (GME) in extracorporeal circuits and introduce the concept of hypobaric oxygenation to prevent GME.
